Hidden in the northeastern corner of Mykonos Island is Mersini Beach, sometimes called Mirsini. It has beautiful sandy coasts split in half by cliffs that create two separate beaches, turquoise waves, and shallow water. If you’re sick of the hectic pace and loud parties on Mykonos, Mersini is the perfect place to unwind because it’s much quieter than the other beaches on the island.

However, Mersini isn’t the place to go if you’re looking for a well-organized beach with amenities like sunbeds and umbrellas. With that in mind, a hat or umbrella is typically brought by the majority of beachgoers in addition to their mat. The beach’s remoteness makes it a popular spot for nudists, who seek out the island’s pristine waters away from the thousands of tourists who descend onto the popular beaches of Mykonos.

Fokos, another lovely and tranquil beach, is located around 900 meters away from Mersini. If you’re planning on visiting this beach, you should probably carry some food and water because, unlike most of the island’s beaches, there aren’t any restaurants or bars in the area.
