Often also spelled Platis Gialos (and sometimes Platis Yialos), this large beach is quite popular, thanks to the number of hotels that are almost literally on the sand.
The hotels, sunbeds, and parasols, plus the shallow and clear waters, usually attract families and young couples and make it the most crowd-pleasing beach in Mykonos.
Those who wish to explore other beaches can hop on a water taxi that departs from here around every hour to Paradise, Super Paradise, and other beaches on the southern end of the island.
